Here is the GrillCraft MX Series upper
grille kit for the Scion TC
Part# TOY-1870 available in silver
and black powder coated finishes.

Our project Scion TC in need of
a GrillCraft custom grille.

Picture #3:
Open the hood and remove the
plastic clips as shown.
|
Picture #4:
Remove the rubber stop as shown.
|
Picture #5:
Remove the plastic clip using a screw driver.
|
Picture #6:
Remove the 10mm bolt in the
fender well area.
|
Picture #7:
Peel the front section of the splash
shield back as shown.
|
Picture #8:
Remove the screw thats located behind
the splash shield.
|
Picture #9:
Remove the bolts located on the under
side of the bumper lower corner.
|
Picture #10:
Remove the bolt located on the under
side of bumper front section.
|
Picture #11:
Pull bumper cover forward and it will come
off the vehicle.

Picture #12:
From the back side remove the screws
that attach the upper grille in place.

Picture #13:
Remove any plastic weld flashing using
a screw driver.
|
Picture #14:
Remove upper grille from the bumper.
|
Picture #15:
Remove the chrome outer trim from the
upper grille.The chrome trim will
no longer be needed.

Picture #16:
Remove the center Scion grille emblem.
Note: Scion grille emblem can be reattached
to the GrillCraft grille using epoxy
or clear silicone.

Picture #17:
Install the original upper grille
back into the bumper.

Picture #18:
Place the Grillcraft grille into upper
grille opening from the front side as shown.

Picture #19:
Using a scribe mark the mounting
tab center holes as shown.

Picture #20:
Drill 3/16 holes for the
mounting screws.
|
Picture #21:
Attach the supplied "U" Type nuts
onto the mounting tabs.
Mount in the sideway position as shown.

Place grille into the upper grille
opening. Note "U" nuts position.

Fasten the screw from the back side.
